Oprea, Title: The use of repurposed drugs for the treatment of COVID-19 in HIV patients – data from ECEE Network Group, Jul, 2022 https://aids2022.abstractserver.com/abstracts/#/abstract/11249/preview 2/3 Conclusions: In a cohort of PLWH and COVID-19 from Central and Eastern Europe almost 20% were prescribed repurposed drugs. Symptomatic patients, with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection and from non-EU country were more likely to receive repurposed drug. Interestingly hospitalized patients were as likely to receive treatment as ambulatory patients. This is a worrying trend as most patients were with mild COVID-19 but on ART with a risk of drug-drug interactions.
