In the science-fiction film Arrival, directed by Denis Villeneuve, there are numerous elements of cognitive linguistics and conceptualization of reality. The plot of this film is based on the communication between the human and an alien race. Its main emphasis is the language that forms the basis of communication. In this case, the human language and the heptapod alien langauage are being analyzed.
